Dear Sir,

I live in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am an investor of Dhaka Stock Exchange. Is it possible for me to invest in the Singapore stock market? If yes, what is the procedure?

Thanking You

Ask the Broker! answers:

Yes, foreign investors can invest in the Singapore stock market.

For applicants not living in Singapore, the following is required:

  • All application documents must be endorsed by a Notary Public or Commissioner of Oaths

    • Photocopy of your passport (with at least 6 months validity)

    • Account application form

  • Declaration by the concerned Notary Public or Commissioner of Oaths

  • Deposit of S$5,000

Once the proper documents and deposit are received, a pre-paid custodian account will be set up for the applicant and the account holder can start to trade in the Singapore stock market.

Cheers

Fang Wei
